Minnesota Multipurpose Stadium – Audiovisual & Multimedia Portfolio

Project Profile: Minnesota Multipurpose Stadium

Funding was approved by the Minnesota State Legislature in 2012 to replace the Metrodome in Minneapolis with a new 1.6 million square foot, 65,000-seat stadium that will become the home for the Minnesota Vikings and also function as a venue for baseball, soccer, concerts, and special events such as motocross and monster truck spectaculars. The new stadium will be capable of hosting more events than any other large stadium in the world.

In 2013, Elert & Associates entered into an agreement with Acoustic Dimensions of Dallas. Elert & Associates’ Audio/Video division will be deeply involved in coordinating with the Minnesota Vikings and the Metropolitan Sports Facilities Authority for the design of the stadium’s AV systems, performing peer-review functions, and will be conducting multiple inspections of pathways and device installation verifications.
